These are the lyrics I've been looking for...I got chills when I first heard it, and plus too it mention's us, the bootheel!
Missing Missouri - Sara EvansI love my life, love my husband
About those kids man I ain’t livin
I love my fans, love my band
Love my little Tennessee piece of land
Sometimes my life can get so hectic
And out of the blue when I least suspect it
Somewhere between the hubbub and the drummer
I get to thinkin’ bout mama
CHORUS
And I’m caught up in missing Missouri
Cause I wanna be with my family
Instead of stuck out on this road I’m on, and
Every time my bus wheels hit the bootheel
There’s no limelight, and I’m alright
Cause I’m almost home
Where they love me, where they know me
Where they show me, back in Missouri, yeah
The world just ain’t no place for whiners
It’s motels, truck stops, all night diners, and
Hopin’ that your song will sell,
an’ having to smile when it ain’t doin’ well
When everything just gets too much, and I
Feel like I’m givin’ up
I close my eyes and say a little prayer
And it’s like I’m there
CHORUS
And I’m caught up in missing Missouri
Cause I wanna be with my family
Instead of stuck out on this road I’m on, and
Every time my bus wheels hit the bootheel
There’s no limelight, and I’m alright
Cause I’m almost home
Where they love me, where they know me
Where they show me, back in Missouri, yeah
BRIDGE
Late summer nights, sneakin’ out the window
Me and the girls drivin’ down the backroads
Tobacco fields and bumblebees
And the Cardinals playin’ on TV yeah
CHORUS
And I’m caught up in missing Missouri
Cause I wanna be with my family
Instead of stuck out on this road I’m on, and
Every time my bus wheels hit the bootheel
There’s no limelight, and I’m alright
Cause I’m almost home
Where they love me, where they know me, where they show me
Where they love me, where they know me, where they show me
Back in Missouri, yeah, back in Missouri, yeah,
Every time my bus wheels hit the bootheel
There’s no limelight, and I’m alright
Cause I’m almost home
Where they love me, where they know me
Where they show me, back in Missouri, yeah
Back in Missouri, yeah
Every time my bus wheels hit the bootheel
I’m in Missouri, oh, back in Missouri, yeah{Lyrics have been edited, because someone doesn't know how to spell!}
It's kind-of sad though...Whoever wrote this song, obviously didn't live in Missouri, because he/she didn't know how to spell Bootheel! Because I would think every Missourian would know how to spell it...LOL!
