We recieved a terrible call tonight. Aunt Mary called, and wouldn't tell my mom. So, dad got on the phone. Uncle Earl died today. But that is not all. See, he was living in a motor home at his daughter "L"'s house. L work's. So, he was at the motor home all day, by his self. When L got home this afternoon, the motor home was on fire. He was already gone. Now, rather he burned to death, or died from smoke. We don't know yet.

I knew when she called, he was gone. But I never thought about a fire. I thought, "Ok, he got into a car wreck!" Because he was still driving. He should of had his liscense pulled MONTHS ago. But, no. They were still letting him drive.

I decided to post the lyrics to "Shall We Gather At The River", because of what Uncle Earl told us for the past 6 or 7 year's. About 7 year's ago, Uncle Earl died. Three time's to be exact. When they finally brought him back the fourth time, and he came around he told them something that still haunt's me. He said, "I went to the river. And everyone I knew that had died year's before, were there. And there was a great sense of peace. A peace I had never felt before. And we were singing gospel song's. We sung, "Shall We Gather At The River". I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay, but I had to come back."

But I look at it this way. Him, and Aunt Maxine are together again. Praise God. Plus, he's no longer hurting from the cancer.

Shall We Gather At The River

Chorus:

Yes we'll gather at the river
The beautiful, beautiful river
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the Throne of God

Shall we gather at the river
Where bright angel feet have trod
With it's crystal tide forever
Flowing by the throne of God

repeat chorus

On the margin of the river
Washing up its silver spray
We shall walk and worship ever
All the happy golden day
(refrain)

E're we reach the shining river
Lay we every burden down
Grace our spirits will deliver
And provide a robe and crown

repeat chorus

Soon we'll reach the shining river
Soon our pilgrimage will cease
Soon our happy heart will quiver
With the melody of peace

Repeat chorus
